Charter cruising and event management with excursion and event boats has been one of our dynamically developing activities in recent years. On board our vessels, clients of partner travel agencies, guests of business companies, students and teachers of primary and secondary schools have enjoyed a memorable experience on a sightseeing cruise or a cruise in the Danube canyon. Every year, we welcome tens of thousands of guests and passengers on board our excursion boats.
Cruise event organisation has become one of MAHART PassNave's core activities and has been a dynamically growing business for the past twenty-five years. Over the past years, MAHART PassNave has hosted a number of outstanding events on both its medium and large sized event vessels. Conferences, press conferences, corporate receptions, including state protocol events.
We have also had the pleasure of hosting the UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, the King and family of Malaysia, King John Charles I of Spain, and many of Europe's Prime Ministers and Heads of Government.
MS BUDAPEST
Air conditioned conference ship
The MS BUDAPEST is a double deck ship with the capacity of 500 passengers. It is ideal for high volumen conferences, product presentations, receptions, company or private events. The MS BUDAPEST is equipped with all sound and visual technique systems (computers, professional slide projectors, fax, phones, the most up-to-date interpreting machine etc) which essential to all kinds of conferences, meetings and events. The air-conditioned interior, the well equipped kitchen, bars and the facilities for disabled people make this ship a unique location for unforgettable events.
The MS BUDAPEST (ex EUREKA II) was built in 1988, in the Van Mill Scheepswerf shipyard, in Giessendam (Netherland). The Rederij Eureka Deventer company designed and constracted this vessel. The company ordered 5 vessels from this type and named them Eureka I-II-III-IV-V.
3 vessels of this type (EUREKA I, IV and V) are still operated by the company Rederij Eureka Deventer. The exEUREKA II is operated by the Hungarian owner MAHART PassNave Ltd., and we have no information about EUREKA III .
MS RÁKÓCZI
Large-sized riverboat for events and charter
The MS RÁKÓCZI is a comfortable riverboat designed to carry 80-230 people. The ship is suitable for larger meetings, receptions and conferences and can be chartered out through the whole year.
The ship has her own catering background with restaurants on both decks.
The upper deck restaurant has a capacity of 80-180 pax. On the upper deck there is an exclusive bar and two open terraces. The main deck restaurant has a capacity of 50-95 pax.
The MS RÁKÓCZI was built as the 2nd unit of the Type-700 passenger ship in Hungary. All three vessels were riverboats for pleasure trips with a max. capacity of 700 pax, with the same outfit and structure. The type had an open upper deck and two restaurants on the main deck. In the 70's the MS RÁKÓCZI was reconstructed and the upper deck became closed with a large restaurant and a small sized open terrace. In 2006 the ship was reconstructed and renewaled again and the upper deck became larger and an exclusive bar was designeted here too by pulling down four crew cabins.

The medium-sized riverboats with a capacity of 80 people are especially suitable for smaller meetings, receptions and wedding parties. Party service with catering is provided on demand.
The riverboats (Project R-51 and R-51E) of this Moscow type were built in the Sovietunion from 1969 till the end of the 90's for domestic use and for export. The Moscow Shipping Co. operates today 32 vessels of this type.
This type of vessels had two main engines (type 3D6H-150) with 150 HP each. The units of the MAHART had later Rába-type engines, and from 2004 Cummins-type main engines (except MS Visegrád and MS Szeged).

"Moscow" type passenger ships
The "Moscow" type (R-51 and R-51E) passenger ships were produced in large numbers in the Soviet Union from 1969 to the 1990s and were widely exported. The development and design of this type started on 27 September 1965!
The "Moscow" type vessels, like the original MAHART ships, were powered by 2 diesel main engines of type 3D6H-150, each with 150 hp. The MAHART vessels later were fitted with Rába main engines, which have been replaced recently by Volvo Penta turbo diesel main engines.
The hull of this type is made of 5mm thick steel, while the superstructure is made of 3-4mm thick aluminium alloy. This type has a displacement of 80-123 tonnes, a passenger capacity of 250 and a cruising speed of 20 km/h.
A number of 'sub-types' of the 'Moscow' type were produced, with minor and major differences. The single-deck 'Neva' type (R-35), although similar in appearance, is a completely separate type. The Moscow Shipping Company currently operates 32 vessels from this type.
